FOUNDER STORY
The Problem We Couldn't Ignore
For years, Magan Lane worked where childhood happened in real time.
On playgrounds. In gymnasiums. Inside classrooms. At recreation centers. In conversations with teachers, parents, and children trying to make sense of the world around them.
She watched children celebrate victories that seemed small to everyone else but meant everything to them.
She watched frustration spill over into behavior. Confidence disappear after setbacks. Potential get buried beneath habits, environments, and challenges that children were still learning how to navigate.
What stayed with her was the pattern.
The same struggles appeared across schools, neighborhoods, and families. Children were growing up surrounded by information, yet many lacked the practical tools to understand themselves. They knew when they felt overwhelmed, discouraged, disconnected, or frustrated, but often had little guidance for what came next.
And over time, those small daily patterns became something bigger.
- The way a child responds to adversity.
- The way they care for their body.
- The way they communicate.
- The way they see themselves.
- The way they move through the world.
Magan began asking a different question.
What if these skills were developed with the same intention as academics, athletics, and achievement?
What if children were given opportunities to strengthen self-awareness, confidence, emotional resilience, leadership, and healthy habits while those foundations were still taking shape?
That question became Whole Body Theory.
Today, that vision lives through the Lab System, where movement, nutrition, emotional development, leadership, and wellness come together to help children build the skills that support a lifetime of growth.
Because every child is becoming someone.
Whole Body Theory exists to help shape that becoming with purpose.
